Huastec Figure — To make the stand as discreet as possible two vertical supports were hidden behind the legs.
Stone Hacha — Large Vera Cruz carved stone hacha. For this artifact, a display stand constructed from heavy gauge steel was required.
Huetar Slit Drum — Extremely rare Huetar pottery slit drum from Costa Rica's Central Highlands, Atlantic Watershed region.
T-stands — These "generic" T-stands are perfect for a wide variety of African masks. They will fit any mask that can be wired (or strung) across the back. With heavy bases for added stability, they are available in any height. The stands shown here are 16" tall.
Colima Figures — Three female flat figures from Colima, West Mexico.
Hmong Silver Pipes — Two mid-20th Century coin-silver Hmong (Miao) tobacco pipes from the hill tribes of Laos/Thailand.
Hmong Pendant — Finely engraved mid-20th Century silver Hmong hill tribe "Spirit Lock" pendant.
Colonial Bust — Beautiful Latin American Colonial carved wooden bust. The display stand was designed to be as discreet as possible.
Chancay mask — Unusually large Pre-Columbian Chancay painted wooden mummy mask with multi-layered textile headband.
Kushan Figures — Two Indus Valley, Kushan fertility goddesses. The figures would not stand on their own and display nicely on simple metal stands.
Valdivia Axe — Rare Valdivian stone axe (hacha). Stone hacha display much more effectively on stands.
Hmong Torque — Lovely Hmong (a.k.a. Miao) silver torque-style necklace from the northern Laos/Thailand. The stand was made to accentuate its elegant form and allow for unobstructed viewing from both sides.
Maya Mold and Figure — Maya ceramic mold used to produce small figures in ancient times. Accompanying the mold is a figure that was cast from the mold. Although the mold is ancient, the figure is a modern casting.
Mezcala Figures — Group of six Mezcala stone figures. They will be displayed together therefore the custom stands were all created using a similar design.
Costa Rican Jades — Three Costa Rican green stone (jade) items consisting of two axe-god pendants and a long spike topped with a monkey effigy.
Egyptian Vessel — Egyptian carved alabaster vessel. Being round-bottomed and unable to sit upright on its own, a custom stand was created in order to safely display this delicate and fragile artifact.
Tumi Trio — Three Peruvian copper tumi (knifes). Each stand is of similar design allowing them to be nicely displayed as a group.
Colima Snake — Rare Colima serpent vessel. The custom display stand was designed so the support structure was as discreet as possible.
Chinesco Figure — West Mexican Chinesco figure. Being unstable on its own, a custom stand allowed it to be displayed safely. Rubber end-caps were added to protect the surface of the artifact.
Jamacoaque Figure — Large Jamacoaque Shaman. The figure would stand on its own, but leaned forward and could easily tip over. A custom stand provided safe and secure display.
PNG Currency — A trio of shell currency rings from Papua New Guinea. A custom stand was fabricated for each of the three pieces, creating a dramatic display.
African "Hoe" Currency — Three large forged iron spades, once used and traded as currency by the tribes of Nigeria and Cameroon. Individual custom stands were created in order to display them as a group.
African Fly Whisk — Fragile and very unique 19th-century African fly whisk made from the leg and tail of a small animal. A custom stand was needed to properly display and preserve this rare and unusual artifact.
Nazca Vessel —Rare canteen type Nazca vessel. The unusual form made this piece difficult to display safely. A custom stand was created to perfectly fit the rounded vessel.
Moche Cancheros — Two Moche fineline cancheros (aka "corn-popper" vessels). Being very similar, matching display stands were created to allow the two vessels to be displayed together.
Cypriot Pitcher — Being round-bottomed, this Cypriot vessel would not sit uprignt on its own. To securely hold the vessel, a custom stand was created. For added safety, rubber end-caps were added to the stand.
Anasazi Ladle —Anasazi ladle's are typically difficult to display. A custom metal stand safely holds the ladle in an upright position.
Moche Tumi — Heavily oxidized Moche tumi topped with an Ai Apaec figure. A simple custom stand was fabricated in order to display the tumi more effectively.
Chimu Tumi — Rare Chimu bronze ceremonial tumi with bird finial and bells. Being oddly shaped and difficult to display, a simple display stand was created.
Huastec Figure — This rare Huastec female figure with very small feet was unable to stand on its own. A custom metal display stand was created.
Stone Axe God — Costa Rican stone celt. The custom display stand was designed to make use of the existing suspension holes. The tips of the attachments were painted to match the stone to be less distracting.
Vera Cruz Figures — Large male and female pair of Vera Cruz smiling figures (sonrientes). Their feet were uneven and the figures would not stand upright on their own. Matching display stands were created with vertical supports hidden behind the legs.
